We stayed in a beach front villa as part of our honeymoon trip. The room was spacious, well laid out with the comfiest bed ever! The balcony overlooked the pool/beach so we were able to witness the most amazing sunsets whilst having a beer on the balcony/terrace. The staff are all very nice, they remember your name, room number and things you like. The owners also make an effort to introduce themselves and are present everyday to ensure your stay is perfect. Special mention to Nee (I think this was his name) he took our bags to the room and looked after reception some days. Great guy and very funny. The food and drinks are both incredible tasting and very well priced - in line with the island prices which was great value for money. (Morning smoothies are very special) Overall perfect resort - the negative comments on reviews are very very nit-picky. There are places in close proximity but 5 minutes walk. (The sacrifice you make for a secluded quiet beach resort). 100% recommend.

Exceptional

This is a beautiful resort. My room was great and had everything you need for a relaxing stay. The resort is located right next to the beach and the pool overlooks the beach. Loved the little pool bar and the cocktails were delightful. The owners are very nice and make you feel right at home. The staff were all very helpful and super friendly. I really enjoyed the vibe. Every meal I had from the onsite restaurant was delicious, I even got room service a couple of evenings which was great! Highly recommend this place in Lanta.

A little piece of paradise!

We stayed at Lanta Palace for 3 nights after staying on various other busy nearby islands. This was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The resort is stunning and very luxurious and the rooms are fantastic! The sunsets from the beach are amazing, I would recommend booking dinner in the hotel one night, beachfront dinner and drinks while watching the sunset and the food was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and attentive and really made our stay special. Ko Lanta itself is a beautiful island, there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and a supermarket. We did the trip to skull island, kayaking and mangroves which was a great way to see the beautiful island. We would definitely come back to Lanta Palace!

Beautiful paradise resort in Koh Lanta.

This property is managed by a lovely couple, Sam and Jackie. Service at this beach front property/resort was exceptional. Food was probably the best we had during our island hopping trip in Thailand. We booked several tours with Lanta Palace - a snorkel tour and Elephant Sanctuary Tour. The Staff was incredibly helpful and efficient in booking these for us - esp since we booked last minute. Rooms were gorgeous with high ceilings, amazing wood art work doors and chandeliers to offer a spectacular design experience in your room. There is a small town within walking distance which we didn't check out but would have loved to walk around more if we had time. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting an elevated experience!

Beautiful 5 star resort and service on the cozy peaceful island of Koh Lanta

Beautiful place on a nice quiet beach. The owners Sam and Jackie were wonderful, greeting us each day with a smile. The food and drinks at the restaurant were exceptional. Staff are great and rooms are great, exactly as described. Everything went smooth with the ferry/airport transfers. Would recommend this wonderful place to anyone

Honeymoon stay in Ko Lanta

Amazing hotel with staff willing to go the extra mile Owners being on site were great to chat with! Villa was stunning, pool and beach were ideal to switch off felt like paradise. Location is great short walk to a number of bars and restaurants if you fancy a change of scenery. Food at all times was great, fresh made smoothie and eggs when you sit at breakfast was a great touch. We were blown away by our stay and just gutted we had to leave

Amazing resort. Best place to just relax and never leave again

If you want to treat yourself or just have a perfect beach holiday. This is the place you need to go to. The owner Sam and Jackie make sure that all guests feel very welcome. The bungalows are astonishing beautiful and we loved to relax on our private terrace. Live music on Wednesdays, dinner and breakfast at the beach. Great breakfast. I could go on and on, amazing stay!

On the basis that we loved our stay: - the pool could be cleaned more often during the day - the beach sand next to the sunbeds should be thoroughly cleaned. We found some broken glass and sun shade equipment - on a windy day some sun shades were flying off and there was no response from the staff. Also, some holders of the sun shades are very rusty and therefore you could not fix it when the sun shades flew off.

Great boutique hotel with individual villas, nice views over the sea, comfortable and nicely decorated. The garden is very well maintained, all together is a paradise corner. The place is very quiet, but if you like you can get more action from nearby beaches, with plenty of restaurants, within 10-15 minutes walking distance. The hotel management made all efforts to accommodate our requests, overall we had a fantastic holiday.

Just a remark, the first interaction with the reception staff was not that pleasant, but afterwards they provided a very good service.

It is right on the beach,if you like nature than you'd be in your element!

Staff were rude and not helpful.Felt as though you were putting them out by asking for basic things. Pool was disgusting. They need a new filter. By day 3 the water was a dark brown color. When we arrived there was a hige.iguana chilling over our bed and iguana faeces on the floor. Had to ask to be moved. Rooms are unclean, many creatures hopping about..got bitten alive at night!

What was the highlight of Lanta Palace Beach Resort & Spa

The resort is located directly on a sandy beach with a swimming pool between the bungalows and the beach. There are plenty of beach chairs not only on the beach but also around the swimming pool. In the afternoon the beach is affected by low tide, therefore the swimming pool comes in handy, although it is still possible to go for a swim in the sea, unlike other resorts around. The beach bar is right next to the swimming pool and offers happy hour during which you can admire a breathtaking sunset. The beach front bungalow we stayed in was according to the pictures and description, can´t imagine staying elsewhere. The AC is a must have! The furnishing is not new but sufficient, very comfortable bed. Buffet style breakfast offered a wide range of meals, including traditional Thai breakfast, but also provided toast. One of the benefits of the open air restaurant was the sea view during your meals. The surrounding area offers plenty of restaurants to choose from. The staff was always friendly and willing to help.

You can’t complain about a resort with a pool and bar right on the beach and to have the sun set right in front of you was just amazing. Friday night show was great. Location is basically in the middle of Koh Lanta so biking around is easy and the food was good too. The aircon in our room stopped working on the second day and we got moved to the bungalows which was lovely! And one staff member in particular.. her name is Ming.. she went above and beyond to make our stay with renting bikes and tours simple. She is a great asset to your resort and her priority to make sure her guests were happy was just lovely to see.. we were glad to have met her. Will definately come back to this resort!

What was the highlight of Lanta Palace Beach Resort & Spa

Best bits about this place was the pool, pool area, beach front bar and restaurant and a quiet sandy beach for a swim or kayak, beautiful sunsets. Air conditioning was very good, little fridge with a small freezer compartment was excellent. Balcony was good, but too many trees and rooftops in the way to be able to see the sea. Reception & housekeeping staff were friendly, knocked on the door everyday to ask if the room needs cleaning, change the towels and provide free water and toilet paper. Good both cold and hot shower pressure in the bathroom. We booked a Superior double room and were staying at the very back 2 storey building facing the sea. Thai dishes from the restaurant menu were lovely. Minibar prices were good, small beer 40 baht, soft drinks 30 baht. Kayak rental 150 baht per hour. Would stay again I think :)

Location was not the best for us as it is about 20-25 minutes ride from Saladan market and night life as there is not much around in the immediate area, 400 baht one way for a shuttle from the hotel, but outside on the main street to the left on the other side of the road you get one for 500 baht both ways. Very disappointed in the fresh sea food BBQ in the restaurant, hugely overpriced and didn't taste nice at all. Had 6 Tiger prawns and a squid for 1000 Baht in Garlic & Peppercorn. Waiters (guys) in the restaurant/bar area didn't seem to be enjoying their job very much and not that friendly as usual in Thailand. In general food & drinks slightly more expensive than Krabi. The door to the balcony wasn't closing properly and doesn't even have a handle, so when in the balcony you might need to use a cloth or a t-shirt to shut the door with. Never had breakfast there so cannot comment on quality or choise, but for a small cup of instant coffee from inclusive breakfast for other guests costed me 30 baht.

The location is just perfect - right next to a beach with a great view of sunset. The beach itself is also not very crowded, so it's very relaxing. The pool is also nice and clean. The food in restaurant is tasty and the price is fair. They also have happy hours for drinks and they organize free thai boxing, dancing and fireshows on Fridays.

The rooms are generally ok, but the bathroom needs more love - the cleanliness was average and it looks old. It also feels like the whole place is a little worn out. In my opinion the relation between price and the standard that you get for it is not 100% satisfactory.

Very little. A terrible place. Rooms bleak, mattresses rock hard, pillows also. Food not authentic Thai. Far too many guests for a too small site. Gardens untidy and unkempt. Checked out after 1 night but had to pay for 2

the beach is nice, breakfast - perfect.

There were lots of ants in the bathroom. The cleaning staff always forgets to leave face towels, soap. Cleanliness of the room is not their strongest side :(
